Sorry about that! lots and lots going on in my life! Some crazy crazy stuff!!
Quick update on my "life" in case you dont / cant keep up!
I'll start back from the last post (not all the garbage between that and the prior post haha)!
Well Tara moved back in to the house....but brought her b/f along with her.... Long story and before you say "*I* wouldnt do that" - walk a mile baby!
She went to the prom - no she did not graduate in June - yes she went to prom. It's a long story and if you want to hear it - give me a call :)
She was stunning - yes I had a few tears in my eyes - dont be passing that information along much ok?
Kailie finished grade nine - woot woot.
We put our house on the market - we have had quite a few showings but no offers. its very frustrating but oh well! What to do! We lowered our price a couple of times now - I just think the market is very slow right now - as I've been told by a number of folks. As well in case you werent aware there have been some 'stricter' guidelines in place for those buying - causing the market to slow I'm sure.
Aunt Bea came in July and stayed until beginning of September - she was a life saver - i can tell you she saved my marriage and my sanity! You will never know how much she means to me - more everyday!
We got a bit of quilting done! I have 'graduated' to 'bed-sized' quilts - (i have done a couple of 'throw' quilts - lap quilts etc).
Mike and Erin and Allie came home for a visit - it was so good to see them - especially Ms. Allie - what a sweetheart :) My 'loving' brother advised I was no longer on my pedestal - hmmm i didnt know I was on one so there you go! ( I think he was trying to tell me that *I* was no longer the baby and that Allie was the centre of his universe - hmmm since he hasnt lived around here in 30 years - I guess I'm ok with that.....) haha
We had an 80th birthday party for my dad (who lives with us) in July - for a couple of reasons - his birthday is September 25 - which falls within the 'sacred' "moose season" (the getting ready days of moose season I beleive) - Mike would be home and Aunt Bea would be here. Lots of people dropped in - it was great to see everyone and he enjoyed himself!! A ROCKIN game of quarters was held after the fact - OMG so much fun!
Our cousin Lisa and her guy came for a visit for a few days before the long weekend in September - so good to see her.
Wes was a huge Poison fan in High School - so we made the trek to Bangor to see Poison and Def |Leppard in concert! We had a blast!
In September I won tuition to 'Brave Girl Art School' - a value of $99 - I was so excited- giddy really! We are learning all these new art techniques as well as great 'soul' food --- loving it! If you've never heard of Brave Girls club go check it out.... www.bravegirlsclub.com (hehe dont try brave girls dot com as it's NOT what i've been doing! haha
My art (not all of it - just a taste ):

Tara started selling Avon - well I guess we should say its all in her name and she orders stuff...haha I seem to enter the orders, and collect the money and pay the bill. She's gotta start somewhere! I dont mind - its sorta fun! Kailie is selling Avon bath packs to raise funds for cheerleading - that is a nother blog post i'm sure :)
Made Spiced apples for the very first time in my life and they turned out AWESOME!!
I went to GHLC scrapbooking with Cindy, Kelly & Tracie (and 57 others haha) last weekend - OH MY GOODNESS - so much fun - and much needed relaxation time!! Love it!

Next week is Dad's 2nd year anniversary of living in our house - its been a challenge - but I wont get into that here and now :)
OKKKKKK!!! Thats about all the 'news' I have - I'm sure I have forgotton SOMETHING/SOMEONE and if I did I apologize profusely!!!
So what prompted me to blog after such a lonnng time?? Well glad you asked :) I've missed all of this - expressing myself in this format - sharing my life in this format - AND my 40th birthday is coming up!! woot woot!!!
Yep i'm excited about it! Why? Nope not because of what I'm going to do on my 40th birthday (last year I took a cruise on my birthday - dont think that will be happening :( ) I'm just really excited about it - this past year or so I am starting to 'get' what those 'over 40' ladies have been saying all this time about being 40! I really dont give a shit about what others think - well I should re-phrase - I dont care in a 'crippling'/'scared to do it' sort of way - I am starting to know myself. I know what I want - I know who I want to spend time with - although (for the record - there are some that I want to spend time with but do not have the time to do so). I think i'm starting to know whats 'more' important. Note that this could be because of my mom's death, my teens goign 'crazy', my dad moving in OR my age....i'm sticking with ALL of it haha....
So i really wanted to do something 'good' for my birthday - something awesome - something i'll always remember and that which does not cost me a ton. I want to touch people - I want people to know that someone cares for them - even though they may not even know me - they know *someone* in the world is good....... I found this idea from someone else on pinterest - i'm going to find the link and share it - as this is not an original idea of mine!
So for my FORTIETH birthday - I am doing 40 random acts of kindness leading up to my actual birthdate - November 29 2012! Yesterday was 40 days til my 40th birthday!
I had planned on posting this blog post yesterday BUT i got my 'math' / 'counting' messed up and thought tomorrow was today :) oh well!!
I hope to blog each one (probably a few days between each one - as I have time to sit down and write).
I woudl love to then scrapbook these pics - to remember this forever :).
Anyhow - I've already got started - actually one of them is a cheater one - I did the RAK on Tuesday - as I had it ready to go.....
RAK #1 - Sent 6 packages of these plastic letters to a lovely lady across Canada who couldnt get her hands on them at any local store. (we are using plastic letters in our Art School at Brave Girls Club). Just a note - shipping is WAY friggin expensive - dear God!! Oh well!!
RAK#2 - This is my RAK for today - I purchased duplicate colors of Heavy Body Acrylic paints on clearance- these are not cheap folks-so sending my extra to a lovely lady - again in our ART School.
I know this last one doesnt have much wow factor - but I can tell you that if I received this in the mail I would be overjoyed hahah!!
Thanks everyone for reading!! I'm very excited about this!!!!!!!!
